Thanksgiving is over and we’ve stuffed ourselves silly like most everyone else. Doesn’t mean we can’t get ourselves into shape for a few runs– the mountains are blowing snow and it’s getting cold.
Last month we tried out something new for us: we were at the Albany Ski and Snowboard Expo. Met lots of really nice people too. We don’t usually do shows geared towards consumers, so it was interesting. We did it last year in Boston, and thought we might try a place that was closer to our home in NY state. Times are still hard for many people, but there was a great deal of enthusiasm for the sport. Keep your eyes open for some great deals that local mountains are offering.
Here’s one from Windham Mountain:
Hunter Mountain is offering the “BIG LIFT CARD” with special offers for our unsung heroes from the US Military, Fire and Police Departments and a bunch of other organizations. Just ask! It’s FREE! Yup. That’s what their website says. FREE. Check it out:

And don’t forget New England. There”s a “New England Pass” which gets you entrance to Loon, Sugarloaf and Sunday River. You can buy it either online, or call 800-229-5666.
Let your fingers do the walking thru the internet and you can find some pretty awesome deals out there. Now’s the time to do it. Don’t let those yummy sweet potatoes and stuffing from the last holiday slow you down!
Happy skiing!
